🌍 Are Moldovan Diplomas Recognized Internationally?

Yes — diplomas issued by accredited Moldovan universities are officially recognized in many countries around the world.

Moldova is a member of the Lisbon Recognition Convention and the Bologna Process, meaning its higher education system is aligned with European standards.

Key points:
• Moldovan degrees are recognized in most EU countries, as well as in the UK, Canada, and parts of Asia, the Middle East, and Africa
• Medical and technical degrees may require national licensing exams or validation depending on the country (e.g., USMLE, PLAB, NEET-PG)
• Graduates receive diplomas with academic transcripts, often accompanied by a Diploma Supplement in English

We recommend students check with their country’s recognition authority or ministry of education for specific rules related to their field.

🩺 Medical Degrees (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing)

Graduates of Moldovan medical universities receive internationally recognized degrees, in line with European higher education standards. Moldova is part of the Bologna Process, and most medical diplomas come with a Diploma Supplement in English.

Recognition & Practice Abroad:
• India: NEET (UG) is required before admission; for practice, students must pass FMGE or NEXT
• EU/UK: Further national registration and licensing exams (e.g., PLAB in the UK)
• Middle East: Licensing may be required by national health councils (e.g., DHA, MOH)
• USA/Canada: Requires passing USMLE or MCCQE for residency or medical practice

Moldovan medical degrees are accepted in many countries after fulfilling national licensing steps.
